Building a Bold Profession in Real Estate
There’s a certain type of person that tends to gravitate toward careers in Real Estate. They’re independent and outgoing, combining an “all-business” mindset with a knack for building customer relationships. Most importantly, they’re detail-oriented and prepared.
Irvine Valley College’s Real Estate department combines business principles with market-relevant skills and training to prepare grads for in-demand careers as agents, brokers, property managers, assessors, and more. The curriculum also provides professional learning opportunities for career professionals.
IVC’s three degree and certificate options represent streamlined pathways to a steady career in a future-proof field. While demand for real estate professionals tends to run parallel to broader economic trends, it’s an industry that remains critical even when markets begin to struggle. Real estate agents are among the occupations expected to expand by 10% or more by 2026, both earning “Bright Outlook” status from occupational data application O-Net Online.
IVC’s Real Estate program covers all aspects of theory and practice, featuring courses in principles, practice, finance, legal aspects, escrow, appraisal, and other facets of the Real Estate industry. The coursework, taught by expert faculty with real-word experience in the field, prepares students to sit for the California real estate salesperson and/or broker's examinations, and provides a basis for real estate, property management, and finance-related careers. (Please see the California Department of Real Estate for additional information on real estate license requirements.)
The Real Estate program at Irvine Valley College is proud to offer online, evening and weekend courses to fit the busy schedules of our working students.
